How to shorten a link without a subdomain?
To shorten a link without a subdomain name, you require absolutely nothing. Just hop on to any page on dry.gg (could be the home page, or the user dashboard page) and you'll find the link shortening form at the top along with the dry.gg logo.
Link shortening form
From the screenshot above, the annotated sections are explained below.
1
This is the input field where you have to paste the link which is to be shortened.
2
Click this button to expand or collapse the custom menu (which is in expanded state in the screenshot).
3
Click this button to expand the pages' menu (which is set to "none" in the screenshot because we are shortening the link without any subdomain).
4
This is an optional input field where you can enter a custom short link. Leaving this field empty will result in a serially generated short link.
5
Click this button to finally shorten the link.
In the screenshot below, you can see a shortened link without a custom short link as the custom short link field has been left empty and thus there is a serially generated short link, which is https://dry.gg/3J.
Link shortened without a custom short link
In this next screenshot below, you can see a shortened link with a custom short link because "protekt" has been entered in the custom short link field and thus the short link here is: https://dry.gg/protekt.
Link shortened with a custom short link
So, this is all you need to know to be able to shorten a link without a subdomain. Now, the next good step would be to shorten a link with a subdomain and add it to your page (if you have already created one).
